On 8th February we moved into the Chinese year of Monkey. The interior design classes I teach are both western and eastern so this week we will look at the energy, or chi, for the next twelve months.

The monkey has a questioning mind, is a problem solver and has the ability to learn new things easily. The monkey person is smart, clever and intelligent, especially in their career and wealth. These people are lively, flexible, quick-witted and versatile.

So what’s in store for non-monkey people in a Monkey year?

The energy of 2016 will be erratic and unpredictable. There will also be opportunities to be adventurous, resourceful and amoral. So be alert because anything can happen. Your ability will be tested to remain calm in the face of unexpected challenges.  When you’re going through hell keep on going!

There will be challenges this year as people will be monkeying around. Remember this, and keep your sense of humour.
